Blog 1- Diamonds
I don't want to hate my blog. It can't be something I see two years from now and cringe, like you do when you hear the sound of your voice on a recording, or watch those 3 am high school videos you made one sleep over.
I just know I want to start using my voice more. I see pain, struggle, and heart ache everywhere around me. But I have been picking up the diamonds that have formed under pressure along the way, and if I have something good, I can share it. I guess I want to share it with you!
Let's clear this up though. Am I gonna be like your ancient guru you turn to for wisdom? I don't think so. I mean, I'm 26. But I am pretty happy with the way my heart has grown in peace, joy, and hope in the last few years. And don't we all want those?
I'm also someone who just marvels at life. I find much delight in so many things I run into on my day to day. And I'm a mom, so I do a lot of the same things every day. But the more peace I get, the more I observe of the wonder around me.
And music, smiles, rainstorms, seasons, new foods, books, podcasts, and people have all been there to give me eureka moments. It's those moments that I want to dwell on. It's those moments that I want to change me. It's those moments that I want to discover. Again and again.
And there we go, eureka! The name of my blog just came to me. Eureka! I have found it! And now I offer it to you.
